THIRD SIGHT “MURDER DEATH KILL” LIVE VIDEO

To further honor Spiderman, here’s a clip of one of his favorite local rap groups, Third Sight, performing their anti-social 12” single “Murder Death Kill” for the Fuck Pop Convention at Maritime Hall sometime between 2001 and 2002 (I forget when exactly). Third Sight’s onstage line-up at that point consisted of Jihad (lead emcee), Sir Limpdic (aka Fat Flash) and Palo Alto’s own Insomniac (as the back-up emcees), DuFunk (on production), and the prince of darkness himself D-Styles (from ISP/Beat Junkies/Gunkhole) on the 1s and 2s. Ken and Juan (Jihad the Roughneck) were good friends, and for a while Jihad (when between brief moments of actual employment) was somewhat of a fixture on the Monday Beatdown and always ready with a grimey 15 min.+ freestyle whenever Ken gave him the cue (anybody got tapes of that?). This performance is deadly and the 12” is even better. These long-dreaded brothers used to stalk Bay Area stages like ring-wraiths with lyrics culled from the minds of serial killers, and cheesy kool-aid-smiling, and all that jokey-smurf shit, was NOT part of the program. Watch how fast Jihad puts all that party-good-time shit to a cease when he steps on the set. Ken wasn’t around to see this performance in person, but his spirit is right there in the front row yokin’ up posers and punchin’ ‘em in the face.

This post is amazing. I was at this show, it was my first trip to the bay and i came down specifically for this show. I spent an entire day with ellay khule and teradactyle and they tried to sell me a jean jacked with the hiphopklan logo on the back and a giant rifle on the front (which i regret not buying). Where did you guys come up with footage of this show and if you have the entire show i would love to get my hands on it.

If memory serves me correct, wasn't this show put on by shane and boac? and i think this was supposed to be one of the last hiphop shows at the maritime hall. There was a protest outside because a week earlier someone was shot at a bored stiff show and they were on the roster for the night. I might be wrong on some of this, but if it's from the fuck pop show then i was there.

You guys are killing it for the westcoast right now, its amazing. Thanks

thanks for the props! shoulda got that jean jacket kid! Funny you say that 'cause our next run of videos will have an entire jean jacket feature (well kind of, it's more like a running theme in one of the clips)...

Yo I should also mention that Raggedy Andy (also of Palo Alto) was also on board for production with Third Sight during this time, he provided the beat for the cuttiest track on the MDK 12": "Dr. Douche Powder."
OOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooh! Big Up Andy, sorry I missed you guys at the Kevvy Kev joint in GGP, I have no discipline....

word mayor, I remember getting all over-pumped at this show when I saw all the Chico and Vacaville heads goin' buck in the front row and jumped into the crowd. You guys all just looked at me like, "What the fuck is Luke even thinking?" before side-stepping to safety as I face-planted to the floor (I never stage-dove again, 250lbs.+ dudes never should), I also had a dress shirt on with "Osama Bong Loadin" written in black sharpie on it. Good times, good times. And yes I have an excellent rendition of "Little Titties" by 99th D from that same night that I will up at a later date.
